Terms of Service

Plain-language summary (not a substitute for the terms below): Storias is an AI video editor. You own your videos; we process them to create your edits. Paid plans bill through the App Store and renew until cancelled. AI output isn't perfect, review it before you publish. Disputes are resolved by individual arbitration, and you can opt out within 30 days.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Storias ("Storias," "we," "us"). They govern your use of the Storias mobile and desktop applications, the storiasai.com website, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, downloading, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (16 in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions where a higher age applies). If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. The Service

Storias turns raw video you provide into finished, styled, captioned edits using automated and AI-assisted tools, including transcription, silence removal, reframing, auto-captions, AI-generated imagery, and template-based motion design. Features, styles, and limits may change over time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service.

The Service uses artificial-intelligence systems, including third-party models, to transcribe audio, generate images and graphics, and assemble edits. You acknowledge that:

Some features require an account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device and credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Every plan includes a set number of credits each billing period. Weekly includes 500 credits, Monthly 2,500, and Annual 3,000 (credits refresh monthly). A finished video costs 83 credits, any style, short-form or long-form; unused credits do not roll over, and a failed render is not charged. Every plan unlocks all 14 styles and Templates (8 Pro styles and 6 Ultra Templates), long-form 16:9 production, and HD export with no watermark.

Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store and managed through your Apple ID (with subscription and entitlement handling provided by our billing processor, RevenueCat). Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled, and are charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your device's account settings or through the in-app subscription-management screen. Payment, refunds, and cancellation are governed by the App Store's terms; except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not control App Store refund decisions.

6. Your Content

You retain all ownership of the video, audio, and other material you upload ("Your Content") and of the finished videos you create. You grant Storias a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, transcode, and modify Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (including sending it to the AI subprocessors described in our Privacy Policy). This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except for content already shared by you or retained as required by law.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to create, upload, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, sexually exploitative of minors, harassing, deceptive (including non-consensual deepfakes of real people), or that violates others' privacy or intellectual-property rights; to reverse-engineer or misuse the Service; to circumvent usage limits or security; or to build a competing product from our outputs. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, templates, and brand, is owned by Storias and protected by law. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, we reserve all rights. "Storias" and our logos are our marks.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties, including Apple (distribution and payments), RevenueCat (subscription management), Supabase (authentication and data storage), and AI model providers such as OpenAI (image generation) and speech-to-text processing. Your use of the Service may also be subject to those parties' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, ORIGINAL, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PURPOSE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STORIAS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Storias harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Dispute Resolution, Binding Arbitration and Class-Action Waiver

Please read this section carefully, it affects your legal rights.

Informal resolution first. Before starting any proceeding, you and Storias agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting legal@storiasai.com and allowing 30 days to reach a resolution.

Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, you and Storias agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring qualifying claims in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property misuse. Arbitration will be administered by a recognized arbitration body under its consumer rules, and may be conducted by video or in the county where you reside.

Class-action waiver. You and Storias agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims.

30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing legal@storiasai.com with your name and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

EU/UK residents: nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer-protection rights or the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where the law requires; the arbitration and class-waiver terms apply only to the extent permitted by your local law.

14. Governing Law

Except where local mandatory law applies, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are an EU/UK consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of your country of residence.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute resolution) survive termination.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, in-app or by updating the date above). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
